"ITALIAN FOOTBALL IN CHINA" PROJECT
In China football is certainly one of the most popular sports, ever since the world cup in 1982 when Italy won with famous players such as Paolo Rossi and Bruno Conti. Many people play football at all different levels, however those that do not play watch it on TV or listen to it on the radio, and certainly everyone talks about.
In the upcoming 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, football will certainly be one of the most followed sports and as usual it will bring together different countries in an opportunity to compete and have fun at the same time.
The increased overall wealth and more free time available have allowed people that did not do so before, to practice sports and consequently there have been some major investments in this field that have brought changes both an economic and a management perspective.
What we want to do is attempt to bring together two cities, that are so different and so far apart, but that share a common passion for football, using the right tools that turn this opportunity into a “mix” of training and socializing, an innovative source of business. Our suggestions are the twinning between teams, internships, football school, partnerships between teams and supporters, friendly matches, the exchange of marketing techniques, the creation of dedicated and personalised corner stores, the acquisition of television transmission rights, crossed sponsorship, web campaigns, the management of the contracts of the players, the creation of unique and unforgettable sporting events.
The goal of the project called “Italian football in China” is that of helping the Italian football clubs start their adventure in a totally unexplored territory where there is great potential from an athletic perspective that will allow the country to create its own image and also to improve economically by applying our innovative and winning strategies.
